God’s Tools for Transformation, Part 1

In Colossians 3:16-17, Paul continues to call the believer to act upon the truth taught in verses 1-4.  When we placed our faith in Christ, we were raised from spiritual death and given new life.  Since we have new life, we can now learn to put off the sins of the old life (5-11), and replace them by putting on the characteristics of the new life (12-15).  In verses 16-17, Paul reminds us of two tools that God uses to accomplish this transformation in the Christian’s life.  This message focuses on the first tool of transformation, the Word of Christ.
