Because of man’s depraved heart, the natural tendency of the Christian life is to degrade over time. This degradation can express itself through outward, blatant sin against God, which are very easy to spot, as well as through inward sins that are much more sophisticated and much harder to recognize and remove. In Colossians 2:16-23 Paul warns us of three of these deceitful areas that can rob Christians of enjoying their fullness in Christ.
