Jesus Is Our Priest

Today’s message explores a second reason for the Christian’s hope.  We have hope because Jesus is our Priest.  The book of Hebrews teaches us that Jesus was the perfect fulfillment of the Levitical priesthood and the sacrificial system.  Jesus is superior to any human priest.  Since He’s eternal, He’s not limited by death.  Since He’s sinless, He doesn’t have to offer sacrifices for Himself.  Since He’s infinite, His sacrifice only needed to be made once for all of mankind.  Jesus was unique, because He was both priest and sacrifice.  Today we’ll learn that Jesus provides eternal life and continual access to God for those who trust in Jesus’ sacrifice for us!
