Principles for Eternal Investments

Where can you find a safe, secure investment?  Where can you invest your life into something that is safe and secure, something that’s permanent instead of passing?  We easily fall into the trap of thinking that human beings are part of that which passes away.  They live for less than a century and then they are gone.  We can tend to think that what lasts are the causes, cultures, nations and governments that people gave their lives to build.  But from God’s point of view, it’s men, not causes who will exist some place forever.  If you want to invest your life into something permanent and not passing, you need to invest your life into your relationship to God and to people, who last forever.  1 John 2:15-17 gives us three principles for making eternal investments.
