Visiting Our Church
Visiting a church for the first time can be a nerve-wracking experience. At Shorewood Baptist, we want to make you feel at ease. We think we’ve found something special at SBC. It’s more than a church; it’s a place where we feel “at home” and we want to welcome you to experience it also. We focus on the timeless basics: worshipping God, studying God’s Word, serving each other and seeking to make disciples of Jesus Christ.
Services
Our main worship service is Sunday morning at 10:30am. Our service is traditional, but not in a stiff or formal way. There is no dress code for our services, and many people dress in both traditional church attire and more casual clothes. We try to keep the services as simple as possible, singing hymns (both old and new), receiving an offering, and hearing a Bible message. Our service lasts about one hour. Please feel free to contact us for more information.
Kids
At SBC, we think kids should experience church as much as possible. Here is how we make that work. For the first part of our worship service, our kids sit with the adults and participate in the congregational singing. After the song service, the kids are dismissed to an age appropriate children’s church. We also have a well-staffed nursery for children 3 and under, so that parents can be free to enjoy the service.
Our Location
We meet at 113 Republic Ave, Joliet 60435. We are one street west of the St Joseph’s Hospital. If you need directions, please don’t hesitate to contact us here, or call 779-379-5080.
