In the Sermon on the Mount Jesus was teaching His disciples critical concepts for living a blessed, joyful, Christian life. The portion of the sermon that we are studying has been called the Beatitudes, which means the state of supreme happiness. In this fourth Beatitude, Jesus promises supreme joy and fulfillment to those who crave righteousness.
