We are nearing Easter, which is the most effective season of the year to share your faith in Christ! All of us want to make the most of the Easter season, but we can become easily distracted or discouraged. Today we’ll learn three keys to successfully making Christ known!
Christ came to reveal God to you!
Jesus is the Word, the revelation of God the Father (John 1:1).
Jesus is Life and Light (John 1:4), but mankind could not comprehend the Light (1:5).
Jesus took on human flesh to reveal God to His fallen creation (1:14, 18)
Christ came to redeem you!
Jesus came to be the perfect sacrifice for the sins of the world that the sacrifice of bulls and goats could never be (Hebrews 10:1-4).
Jesus took on a physical body to suffer death once for all mankind (1:5-10)
Christ came to relate to you!
He was tempted in every way that we are tempted – Hebrews 4:15-16 “For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.”
He left us a perfect example to follow – 1 Peter 2:21 “For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow in his steps:”
Christ is the living Word and came to this earth so that we could witness Truth in action!
